Artist is a graphics editor for the ZX Spectrum 48K, released in 1984 by the Spanish publisher Dinamic Software. The software was created by Victor Ruiz Tejedor, with inlay and poster artwork contributed by Valentín de la Rubia.
Designed for a single user, the utility provides essential tools for creating and manipulating pixel art on the Spectrum. It served as one of the early dedicated graphics creation tools for the platform.
In Spain, the standard cassette version cost 1000 pesetas, while the medium case edition was priced at 1200 pesetas.
In the Soviet Union and Russia, the program was widely used by pixel artists. It saw numerous adaptations for the TR-DOS disk system, and cracked cassette versions were also circulated. The software was featured in technical reviews within the magazine Lprint.
