The game supports a single player and offers control options via cursor keys, Kempston joystick, or Interface 2. It is based on the original arcade coin-op titles from Tecmo and Tehkan.
The cassette version of the game was priced at £7.95. Bomb Jack II was also released for the Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, and Commodore Plus/4 platforms.
