Camelot Warriors arrived in 1986 for the ZX Spectrum 48K. Published by Dinamic Software, the development team included coders Victor Ruiz Tejedor and Florentino Pertejo, with in-game graphics by Snatcho, Santiago Morga B., and Luis Rodriguez Soler. Ignacio Bergareche composed the music, while Jose Luis Martin and artist Alfonso Azpiri contributed to the project.
This single-player platform game supports Kempston joysticks and features multi-machine medium compatibility along with flippy disk functionality. A notable technical requirement was the SD1 anti-copy dongle, which users had to attach to the ZX Spectrum expansion bus to play. During its development phase, the game was known by the working title Excalibur.
The original retail price was 2100 Ptas. The game was also released for the Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, and MSX platforms. A later re-release by Ariolasoft significantly reduced the difficulty by decreasing the number of enemies.
The game holds an average magazine score of 63.56%. It received an 82% rating from Crash, 4/5 from Sinclair User, and 7/10 from Your Sinclair. Later reviews in 1989 included a 458/1000 score from ACE and a 4/10 rating from Your Sinclair.
