The game features horizontal scrolling gameplay designed for a single player. It supports Kempston and Interface 2 joysticks, and players can also redefine the controls to suit their preferences.
The game was sold on cassette for £7.95 and was developed exclusively for the ZX Spectrum platform.
Critical reception varied, resulting in an average magazine score of 69%. Despite mixed reviews, the game received the «ZX Computing Monster Hit» award in the June 1987 issue of ZX Computing.
In Russia, the game gained recognition through numerous TR-DOS conversions by groups such as Phantom Ltd and Real Software. POKE codes were published in electronic magazines like Micro and Emulate, while cracked cassette versions by crackers like Andy Hardest and Dale were also widely circulated.
