Masterfile is a database management utility for the ZX Spectrum 48K, released by Campbell Systems in 1982. The software was created by John A. Campbell.
Designed as a filing system for a single user, the utility allows for the organization of electronic records. From version 08 onwards, the software gained support for the Micro-print interface.
The cassette cost £15.
The utility received positive feedback, maintaining an average magazine score of 80% based on four reviews in Sinclair User.
In the USSR and Russia, Masterfile was widely used for cataloging purposes, including the indexing of magazines like Modelist-Konstruktor. Local enthusiasts produced various Russian language adaptations of the software, and cracked versions were commonly distributed on cassette tapes.
